Termination of parental rights (TPR) is sometimes a necessary step to achieving permanency for young children in the foster care system. Nebraska statute authorizes Guardians ad Litem to file a petition to terminate parental rights in juvenile court cases. This training will walk you through the process of a termination trial, from filing the initial petition to preparing for trial and handling appeals.
