Title: Becoming a Long-Hauler: Practical Strategies for Sustaining in This Good, Hard Work.
This two-day workshop at the peaceful Lied Lodge is designed to help clinicians sustain their careers by equipping them with practical strategies to manage emotional demands and work stress while providing restoration. This interactive workshop combines lectures with experiential learning, reflective exercises, and group discussion to improve emotional regulation, overall well-being, and a passion for the profession.
Continuing Education:
This workshop will provide 7 educational hours for clinicians.
Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and an agenda to submit for CE’s on their own.
Ticket Details:
80 tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket pricing options include:
$175: Workshop ticket without hotel accommodation (20 available)
$200: Workshop ticket + hotel room at the Lied Lodge Hotel (60 available for the night of October 2nd only. No refunds permitted after August 5, 2025 as NRPVYC will finalize registrant booking details with the Lied Lodge at that time.)
Ticket purchase covers meals for both days (light breakfast, buffet lunch, coffee and water) and automatically enrolls eligible clinicians in our Infant and Early Childhood Community of Practice (IECMH CoP).

Dr. Miller describes the effects of job stress and outlines evidence-informed practices to:
- Alleviate the impact of secondary traumatic stress.
- Enhance the experience of working in the helping profession.

Speaker(s)
Brian Miller, PhD, provides training and consultation on topics of secondary trauma, trauma-informed supervision, and implementation processes nationally and internationally. He is an individual member of National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and chaired the NCTSN Secondary Trauma Supervision Workgroup. He is the developer of the CE-CERT model for intervening with secondary trauma in service providers and the Shielding model of trauma-informed supervision, both of which have been published and disseminated across mental health and child welfare systems.
