About This Event
Protection orders are a nuanced safety tool with both benefits and drawbacks. While they can be powerful in providing protection, they also come with challenges and are often surrounded by myths and misconceptions. This training will explore how to talk about protection orders with victims in a practical way, outlining the different types of protection orders and discussing their pros and cons. Participants will also learn strategies to incorporate safety planning into the protection order process. By the end of the session, attendees will have a stronger understanding of how to navigate these complex situations and support victims in making informed decisions that prioritize their safety.
Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided.
Entrance and Parking: BraveBe Child Advocacy Center; There will be a training center sign, enter through the yellow section of the building. Please park in the large lot to the south side of the building.
