About This Event

This FREE overview will familiarize you with three clinical services for young children in Nebraska available in Nebraska:  Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).  This webinar will help attendees gain a basic understanding of how these services help children and families and how to refer to trained providers.

These three treatments are utilized for infants, young children, and their families to help the child return to a normal developmental trajectory when stress and trauma impact the child and family. Participants will learn when to refer to CPP, PCIT, and EMDR and how to connect with licensed mental health clinicians. Additionally, you will be connected to Circle of Security™-Parenting (COS™-P) classes in Nebraska that support building secure attachment in the parent-child relationship.  You will also be provided a helpful companion guide.

Audience: This webinar is for all professionals who work with children including Child Advocacy, CASA, Head Start, Family Support, Community Support, Caseworkers, GAL’s, and many more.

Continuing education: This is a 1-hour webinar. Participants will receive handouts, an agenda, and a certificate of attendance to submit for continuing education credits on their own.
