PCIT International Training
How does PCIT International Training Work?
- 12-month intensive training program
- All components are mandatory to be eligible for certification with PCIT International. There are 2 workshop trainings (Part 1 and Part 2), twice-monthly virtual consultation calls for 12 months, and 4 live or video reviews of PCIT sessions from a trainer.
- This training is consistent with eligibility guidelines to apply for PCIT International Therapist Certification; however, the training alone does not constitute certification. Upon successful completion of PCIT International training, the clinician must apply for certification.
- You will move through the training in a cohort of clinicians. Cohorts are small with a typical size of 5-10 clinicians.
- Only Nebraska clinicians (licensed or provisionally licensed with a supervisor) are eligible to participate.
Cost
Clinicians licensed in the state of Nebraska: $1,500
The cost of this training includes all the components. Registrants will be responsible for paying for travel expenses.
Why get trained in PCIT International with NRPVYC?
NRPVYC partners with Dr. Lynne Clure in offering clinical training utilizing the PCIT International Association model.
- The PCIT International Association model is the foundational approach of PCIT that focuses on actively teaching parenting skills by providing live coaching to parents of young children (ages 2-7) to improve connection, reduce behavioral challenges, increase emotional self-regulation, and reduce risk of child maltreatment.
- This model is one of the most effective, evidence-based therapies with families of young children.
- Completion of this training program makes a clinician eligible to apply for PCIT International Association certification, a credential recognized across the United States and many countries worldwide.
