About This Event

This webinar will provide a basic overview of child abuse and neglect, go over Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and discuss protective factors that can help prevent harm to children. Participants will get the opportunity to learn more about the Brave fACEs initiative at BraveBe. This webinar will provide professionals with key takeaways about the impact of ACEs on the brain and tangible strategies for fostering protective factors and resilience. 

In this session, you will: 

  • Learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on the brain 

  • Explore protective factors and strategies for supporting people who have experienced trauma   

  • Gain insight into the Brave fACEs program at BraveBe

Libby Valerio-Boster is the ACEs Training Specialist at BraveBe Child Advocacy Center. She holds a degree in Community Health and Wellness from Nebraska and is passionate about helping others understand the lasting impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences. Through research-based trainings and sessions, Libby provides information to professionals and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to understand trauma, support healthy development, and promote resilience. She is committed to raising awareness and helping communities create safer, more supportive space for children and families.
