This webinar will detail the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services’ (DHHS) child welfare prevention infrastructure in Nebraska. 

In this session, you will: 

  • Learn about how DHHS currently addresses goals around preventing child abuse and neglect across the state of Nebraska

  • Learn about Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) and future candidacy

  • Detail current community pathways designed to support children and families, and goals for the future

Camas S. Holder
Deputy Director of Communication & Clinical Partnerships

Camas Holder currently serves as Deputy Director of Community and Clinical Partnerships for the Nebraska DHHS, Division of Children and Family Services. Her role focuses on program development, infrastructure, funding mechanisms, and support for prevention efforts across the state to increase child/family well-being and safety in their homes and communities. Camas is responsible for the Nebraska APS/CPS Hotline, FFPSA, community-based prevention contracts, Bridge to Independence, and the CFS Clinical/High Acuity youth teams.

Camas has been with DHHS CFS since 2000 and has served in various capacities, including a case manager, supervisor, administrator, and regional director of the Omaha metro area. Camas has served on various boards and committees, including the current co-lead of the Nebraska Child Abuse Prevention Fund Board and the Maternal/Child Death Review Board. 

Jamie Kramer, MSW
Administrator
Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Children and Families

Jamie Kramer has been with the Division of Children and Family Services since 2010. She has served as a case manager, case management supervisor and has been in the role of Child Welfare Prevention Administrator since 2018. In this role, Ms. Kramer partners with federal, state, and local stakeholders to implement services and strategies to better serve and promote safety and well-being for children and families so that entry, re-entry, and/or deeper system involvement in the child welfare system is prevented.
