How does EMDR work?

EMDR helps children process traumatic or difficult memories by accessing adaptive memory networks through bilateral stimulation. This method helps process the memory and brings a positive shift in perception and feelings. There are 8 phases that include special adaptations for young children, such as involving parents, the use of play and the use of stories.
